X - Factor

Most people have dreamt about being a pop star or singing in a band, only a few realise this dream. The success of the TV show can quite easily transfer to your event if there are aspiring hopefuls on the guest list.

Format:
Up to 10 contestants choose what song they want to perform (a reference track can be provided for them to rehearse to before the event).

On the day of the event each contestant can have the chance to rehearse their song with the band and the guidance of the Musical Director.

The competition then runs as per the grand final on the TV show:
The competition host introduces each contestant who performs their song with the band and then receives comments from a panel of 3 (we suggest senior management willing to take on the role!). Voting in its most simplistic form can be done on audience reaction or by voting slip. After the results and prizes are given, the competition closes with a final performance from the person with the X – Factor.

Total running time for the competition (performance, voting, results) is approximately 2 hours.

Song Choice
Any song from the current repertoire list is included in the price, however, clients can choose songs that are not on the list at an additional cost per song.


Technical/Logistical requirements

•    A minimum stage area of 8m x 4m is required for the evening performance
•    Please allow 60 minutes for the ‘house band’ to be sound checked before the evening event        commences.
•    There may be some sound requirements
•    A suitable room for afternoon rehearsal sessions should be allocated according to the               requested backing format
•    The standard rider applies to the X Factor style competition
