Yuri Galkin Band

A jazz musician, bandleader, composer and arranger. He has
graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London with a distinction last
year. He has established himself on the British jazz scene both: as a
brilliant acoustic and electric bass player, with a great sound, technique
and time feeling, performing at such significant venues as Ronnie Scott's,
The Bull's Head, 606 Jazz Club, and a creative and innovative composer and
arranger. Yuri has won the 1st prize for the competition for young composers
in Britain, led by great Tim Garland in autumn 2007.

The bands are available for hire for private parties: functions,
weddings etc. The line-up depends on an occasion and a request: from a jazz
trio (piano, double bass, drums or saxophone) to a big band. All the details
regarding instruments and line-up can be discussed. The band
performs in styles: Jazz/Swing, Latin, Blues, Funk. The repertoire includes
a huge number of well-known jazz compositions as well as some original
pieces. The repertoire can also be discussed should one has
any particular requests.
