Heatherden Hall offers a formal arrangement of stately rooms overlooking sculptured gardens in the Buckinghamshire countryside. The first production to take place at Pinewood was “London Melody” in 1936, and by it’s 60th anniversary Pinewood had produced no less than 600 films, both for the big screen television. Classic films created at Pinewood include “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”; “Oliver Twist” & “Great Expectations”, directed by David Lean; Lord Olivier & Marilyn Monroe’s “The Prince & The Showgirl” (her only film ever made outside of Hollywood); “The Great Gatsby”; The “Doctor” films: the “Carry On” films and most of the “James Bond” adventures.
